🚜 Explore Our Classes: From cultivating your own organic garden and preserving harvests through canning to crafting handmade goods and blending herbal teas, our classes cover a spectrum of homesteading skills. Unearth the joy of working with horses and learn traditional farming techniques that harmonize with the land. Canning Class — learn to select the best produce, prepare it, and can it for delicious, healthful consumption later.  There’s nothing like a jar of strawberry jam or a zesty jar of pickles in the middle of winter to bring back memories of your beautiful harvest.  Discounted canning class “packages” available.  Each class will feature a different, in-season item.  You will learn new (canner-safe) recipes using local ingredients.  Book Here.

Tea Blending Class — You have an apothecary in your back yard!  Join us for a tea-blending class!  Depending on the time of year we’ll either be using ingredients harvested and preserved from our garden or we’ll be going out into our garden to do a hands-on harvest and blending right there!  You’ll learn the health benefits of numerous easy-to-grow flowers and herbs, how to plant your own tea garden, and how to brew the perfect, beautiful cup of “tea”.  Book Here.

Candle Making Class — Instantly cozy up your home or give a beautiful gift with a lovely candle!  In the spirit of sustainability we provide vessels you can choose from — all are repurposed or re-usable vessels.  You can also bring your own candle container.  Don’t like to burn candles in your home?  We can do wax-melts, too!  Book Here.

Horse Therapy — Connection and Communication with Horses (A NON-riding Experience).  For those who crave a connection with horses, and who want to build their confidence with horses.  Learn to communicate with horses in a gentle, natural way, while developing a bond with them. Connecting with a horse and truly seeing the transition take place where you go from “acquaintance” to “friend” with a horse is a life-changing experience. You can have this experience without ever riding a horse. You can also ride horses for years and never have the experience of connecting with them.  Book Here.

Goatmanship Classes — thinking about starting a homestead and want to learn more about one of the funnest, funniest, and hardest-working members of the homestead crew?  From milk to weed-eating to entertainment, goats are an excellent addition to any homestead.  Learn all about goat care.  These classes are held throughout the year and focus on different aspects of goatmanship — classes may include milking, kidding (or preparing to kid), vaccinations, hoof-trimming, pretty much anything related to goat care!  Coming Soon.

Farm Work with Draft Horses — We have farm work to do, and our strong n’ steady team of draft horses makes it fun!  We post dates for these as soon as we can, but always it is dependent on weather.  We hope to be cultivating plots in May.  This is a good time to learn about the mechanics behind draft horses and working them.  This is a spectator class.  Watch for dates here.

Hat Burning — Every farmer, rancher, and homesteader needs a good way to shade their eyes and skin, why not look fabulous too?  Decorate hats with burned designs using a variety of methods, sew on some feathers, and add a bit of fun to your hat!  These can be fancy enough for any outing, and the more you wear them, the better they look!  All materials provided.  Book Here.

Scarf-Painting — beautiful silk scarves decorated with various inks make a wonderful “wild rag”.  These will look beautiful with your decorated hat from the Hat Burning classes, and can keep your neck warm in winter or cool in summer! Coming Soon.

Wreath Making — make gorgeous wreaths!  We provide the materials and super-heavy-duty frames for your one-of-a-kind wreath.   Coming Soon.

Red Wine Vinegar — make and infuse your own Red Wine Vinegar.  This is a fun thing to do with your leftover wine.  With the vinegar “mother” you can createall kinds of vinegars.  Infuse it with herbs and put it in pretty bottles for a housewarming, host, or holiday gift, or use it as your own secret ingredient in your favorite dishes.  Book Here.

Goat Milk Soap Making — What do we do with all of that goat milk from our little goats?  Well, we love to make soap with it, that’s for sure!  Learn the process of “cold process” soap-making and make your own loaf of beautiful goat-milk soap.  This soap is wonderful for your skin, better on the environment, and better for you.  With the most basic ingredients, you’ll have wonderful soap for yourself and to give as gifts!  Book  Here.
