Emily Artz
Background: I’ve been working for Jeff and Teresa for about three years now and have been riding for about the same length of time. In fact, the first time I ever rode was on one of their horses (Yukon ) as a guest. As a wrangler and guide with Red Mountain Trails I get to show people the beauty and charm of Red Mountain in a wonderfully unique way and I absolutely love what I do!
Favorite thing about Red Mountain: What’s not to like?
Red Mountain is a great place to work and an awesome place visit and I can’t wait to show you around!
If you could max out your credit cards at any store, what would it be?
Ranch and Home or Hobby Lobby but only if someone else is paying the bill
What’s your useless super power?
Super Lazy, it’s like regular lazy but you get to wear a cape.
Suzanne Bowen
Background: My given name is Suzanne but please, call me Suzie. I was born on Vancouver Island and moved to my first farm at about a year old. It’s been pretty much about animals and adventures ever since. Growing up on a farm didn’t last my whole growing years so it is safe to say I’m a mix of country with a splash of city. My horse, guest experiences started pre teen as a family friend had a trail riding facility. As young horse crazed girls, we were more than happy to “work” in any manner we were asked. After that time horses have been walking in and out of my life when I wasn’t traveling. I’ve been blessed to live in many beautiful locations from Alaska to California and have made a home here since 2009.
Favorite thing about Red Mountain: Red Mountain is a place I enjoy spending my time, watching the seasons change. Being a coastal girl, I appreciate the colors in the vines and the views which are enhanced with the beauty of sharing it with a horse.
If you could max out your credit cards at any store, what would it be? Most likely to max out a credit card during traveling vs a particular store but I do have a motorcycle parts and accessories wish list that’s getting longer.
What’s your useless super power? Most useless superpower would be something like a chicken killer. (Don’t ask)…
Morgan Day
Background: I grew up with a family that raised quarter horses, did local play days, then worked on a Dutch warmblood breeding farm. Got into rescue and now have 2 draft crosses and a quarter horse. I’ve worked catering and serving for about 5 years.
Favorite thing about Red Mountain: My favorite thing about Red Mountain used to be the epic fires, now it’s beautifully covered in vines.
If you could max out your credit card at any store, where would it be? I would max my card out at a knife or gun store. I love kitchen knives and love target shooting, so it’s a toss up.
What’s your useless super power? A useless super power? Annoying my husband more than he annoys me. I never can seem to get under his skin, no matter how hard I try!
Daykota Goff
Background: I got my first horse and have been riding since I was about 8. She was 4 at the time and we learned everything from the ground up together. I am now 22 years old and since then I’ve had and trained several horses of my own and worked with others. I grew up riding western pleasure but the last 2 years I was getting ready for hunter/jumper.
Favorite thing about Red Mountain: My favorite thing about Red Mountain is that I am going to be doing doing the things I love the most, working with horses, having a good time with fellow employees and customers, making sure everyone is having a good time!
If you could max out your credit cards at any store, what would it be? If I could choose any store to max my credit card to, it would probably any tack shop! You can never have enough tack!
What’s your useless super power? my useless super power would be to become invisible but only when no one is looking at me!
Cathrine Robertshaw
Background: Hi, I am Cathrine. I have been riding and competing with horses for 19 years. I have spent 9 of those years in 4-H with horses. My horse Bella and I like to stay busy during the year in which we competed in WAHSET or Washington State High School Equestrian Team and CWPC Central Washington Pony Club. Through 4-H and CWPC Royalty court (2012,2014) I have learned how to speak and outreach to many people. This influenced me in 4-H to do Public speaking in which I traveled and competed at the state level.
Favorite thing about Red Mountain: There is so much to love about Red Mt. For example, I enjoy the wide open areas and the sense of freedom. I hope that you enjoy the area and all the history it has to share.
If you could max out your credit cards at any store, what would it be? While traveling around and competing on horses I have found may places to shop. My favorite place to shop is any and every horse store. I mean we all could use a new saddle every now and then right? Or maybe new shoes everyone loves shoes; for me or my horse who knows!
What’s your useless super power?
If I had the most useless superpower it would be the ability to read my own mind. We all get busy and scrambled sometimes and wonder what was I thinking!
